ISCR has ten functioning councils which constitute the major activities of the Society. Each of the Councils has a Council Coordinator and Members who drive the respective agenda of the Councils, guided by the overall objectives and mission of the Society.
Involvement of patients who consume drugs is inevitable when clinical research is talked or even thought about. Having said this, the role of pharmacovigilance in ensuring patient safety is indispensable not only in a clinical trial but as long as the drug is available in the market. With the focus of drug regulations in India shifting to the ever-existing field of safety, this Pharmacovigilance Council was set up in April 2015. The Council has representations from various sectors from pharmacovigilance professionals who have years of experience in this field and bring in lot of new ideas. Members working in diverse role also part of the council bringing in their own expertise.
Aims
The aims of the Pharmacovigilance Council are to:
